Playing for Keeps Review...

Title: Playing for Keeps (A Neighbor from Hell # 1)
Author: R. L. Matthewson
Genre: Romance, Adult Fiction, Erotica
This book reminded me a lot of Inez Kelly's Sweet as Sin which I loved, so OF COURSE, I really liked Playing for Keeps. This is the story of sweet, mousy, push over Haley & her not so sweet, hot, womanizing neighbor & how they both conquer each other. They also have some pretty hot almost sex?!

Loved it - 4.75 Stars (Can't Give it 5 Stars because of how similar it is to Sweet as Sin!)

Hunting Evander Review...

Title: Hunting Evander (Naughty Nooners)
Author: Kim Knox
Genre: Adult Fiction (Erotica)
I said I was going to read something naughty & I didn't lie. I read this in less than 10 minutes & it was a WASTE OF 10 MINUTES OF MY LIFE! It's about sex on some other planet or something. I have no clue.

THIS BOOK SUX: .5 Star (It was free, thank goodness)

Eden Review...

Title: Eden (Book 3 in a Series of 3)
Author: Jamie McGuire
Genre: YA

I have to say that Eden was the perfect end to a series. It completes the love story of Nina & Jared & restores faith in that good will always win over evil. But after three pretty heavy books, I must admit that I need some naughty reading ;)
Four stars!

Requiem Review

Title:  Requiem (Book 2 in a Series of 3)
Author: Jamie McGuire
Genre: YA

Requiem is the second book in the Providence series. We continue the story of Jared & Nina where they are in love but Heaven & Hell are still battling over their love. Nina is having nightmares where she sees her father & Jared's father fighting off demons with the "book" in their hands. The nightmares turn out to be a window into the next chapter of their lives.

After reading this book I have found the following:
1. Everyone likes to kiss Nina on the head or forehead.
2. Everyone is very understanding very quickly of Angels & demons.
3. I married the wrong man. This Jared dude cooks, washes dishes & kicks ass for his woman & then tells her she's had a hard day & should take a long, hot bath until her fingers get all wrinkly. Mine? He doesn't do ANY of that...ever....EVER!!!

This book has a lot more action & some pretty funny one-liners.

Really Good Book - 3-1/4 Stars

Providence Review...

Title: Providence (Book 1 in a Series of 3)
Author: Jamie McGuire
Genre: YA
This is the story of Nina & Jared. Nina is a college student whose life takes a dramatic turn the night of her beloved father's death when she randomly meets a mysterious stranger at the bus stop. Is this meeting really random?  The stranger suddenly keeps popping up in Nina's life and most definitely in her thoughts. She quickly falls in love with Jared even after he reveals the truth about his identity. She also finds out that her beloved dad's 'business' life was based on stolen items from demons & her life is in danger because she unwittingly holds the answers to the whereabouts of the items. Jared & Nina's story is one of true love - dividing heaven & hell - for the outcome that Jared had only barely dared dream of all his life.

Totally Liked This Book - 3 Stars

Collision Course Review

Title: Collision Course          Author: S.C. Stephens          Genre: Young Adult (YA)

Collision Course
This book was very different from Stephens' Thoughtless series. It was a little like the Lovely Bones. I very much enjoy the fact that Stephens' writing takes you through every aspect of the emotions & actions of the characters. The story is about a teenage boy, Lucas, who has a hydroplaning car accident while being the designated driver to his inebriated best friend, his best friend's girlfriend & his own girlfriend. Being the sole survivor & not being charged with anything for the accident wins him only unsubstantiated rumors from his peers & the families of the deceased. He accidentally meets a new student, Sawyer - who has her own mysterious history, that doesn't know him or his situation & they find solace in each other. The story speaks of his wanting to join his friends but subconsciously wanting to live but not wanting to hurt his dead friends feelings & how Sawyer tries to help him. In the end, only one person can help him.

Great Book - 3-1/2 Stars Out of 5

Vacation 2012

Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

This years family vacation was to DR.  This year our vacation included some special guest stars: Alfonso (Javier) - my hubbies Bestie, Gloria (Alfonso's wife) & their son, Kevin. Although they all seemed to have a wonderful time, I was pretty much stuck in the hotel room (albeit it was a very nice junior suite) due to the fact that my Aunt Flo decided to make a late appearance.

We did, however, do one excursion that I really wanted to do. We went on dune buggies (or as they are called in DR: boogies). I had the time of my life even though it rained in the middle of our trip which really didn't matter because we were all a bunch of muddy messes by that time anyway.
